Can this Vision 500W E40 bulb be dimmed?

Dimming compatibility has not been confirmed for this exact bulb. Do not assume a household dimmer can support it. If dimming is required, confirm the lamp's suitability and use a control rated for the supply voltage, incandescent load and total connected wattage. This bulb consumes a listed 500W, not an LED-equivalent wattage.

Can I install this E40 bulb in an ordinary lamp fitting?
