Frequently Asked Questions

What plumbing tools do you sell?

We stock tap reseaters, plungers, drain cleaning augers and brushes, pipe wrenches, tap keys and spanners, faucet and sink wrenches, tap repair kits, and a submersible drainer pump. Brands include Fix-A-Tap, Fix-A-Loo, Boston, Supercraft, Duramax, Xtra Kleen, and Pumpmaster.

What is a tap reseater and when do I need one?

A tap reseater is a tool used to resurface a worn or damaged tap seat — the internal surface that the washer presses against to stop water flow. If your tap continues to drip after replacing the washer, the seat is likely damaged and needs resurfacing. We stock Fix-A-Tap handyman, premium, and tradesman tap reseaters for 13mm and 15mm taps.

What is the best tool for clearing a blocked drain?

For minor blockages in sinks and basins, a plunger is the first step. For deeper blockages caused by hair, grease, or debris, a drain cleaning auger or flexible drain brush is more effective. We stock the Boston 4m drain auger, Duramax 7.5m spring drain cleaner, and Xtra Kleen 60cm flexible drain brush.

What size pipe wrench do I need?

Pipe wrench size depends on the pipe diameter and the space available. As a general guide: 250–300mm wrenches suit smaller pipes and tight spaces; 350–450mm suit medium pipes and general plumbing work; 600mm suits larger pipes and heavy-duty applications. We stock Supercraft steel pipe wrenches in 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 450mm, and 600mm.

Do you sell submersible pumps for flooding?

Yes. We stock the Pumpmaster Dirty Water Submersible Drainer Pump (SM-DW400A), rated at 10,000 litres per hour. It is suitable for pumping out flooded rooms, construction sites, sumps, and water features containing dirty or debris-laden water.

Expect good results from this silver cleaner

Old tried and true polish that my grandmother used to clean her silver. I have tried other brands and I have found Goddard to be the best.

Scissors you will use for multiple tasks

These small scissors are so handy they should be in everyone’s utensil drawer. They are great for unpicking stitches, trimming off dead leaves and buds on plants and doing absolutely any job that requires a small blade. I love them I had a pair that I lost and now I have replaced them.

Great to find quality dish mops. They aren’t easy to locate. Do the fragile and non-dishwasher items well. Can recommend this item.
