The Sutton Tools M8x1.25 Intermediate Hand Tap (M1010800) is a general purpose hand tap designed for routine maintenance, repair work, and rethreading in a variety of materials. Made from tungsten chrome alloy for durability in hard threading applications, it is suited to DIY and general trade use where precision or safety-critical threads are not required.

The straight flute design is ideal for through-hole tapping where chips break up readily and present no disposal problems. As an intermediate lead tap, it is used after a taper lead tap and is suitable for both through holes and blind holes where the thread does not need to reach the very bottom. For hand operations only, tapping up to 1½ x diameter.
