Ramset

Ramset manufactures a wide range of fastening products including concrete and masonry anchors (dynabolts, sleeve anchors, drop-in anchors, chemical anchors), powder-actuated and gas-actuated nail guns, drive pins and nails, threaded rod, and structural fixings for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

A powder-actuated tool (PAT) uses a controlled explosive charge to drive fasteners directly into concrete, steel, or masonry. Ramset PATs are ideal for high-volume fastening on construction sites where speed and strength are critical — such as fixing timber plates to concrete slabs or attaching steel to structural beams. A valid PAT licence is required to operate these tools in Australia.

Both are expansion anchors used in concrete and masonry, but they differ in design. A dynabolt (also called a wedge anchor) expands at the base when tightened, making it ideal for heavy-duty structural loads. A sleeve anchor expands along its length, offering good holding power in a wider range of base materials including hollow masonry. Ramset offers both in a range of diameters and lengths.

Yes. Ramset chemical anchors (also known as epoxy or resin anchors) are engineered for high-load structural applications including rebar connections, post-installed anchors in cracked and uncracked concrete, and anchoring in close-to-edge situations where mechanical anchors may not be suitable. Always refer to the product technical data sheet for load ratings and installation requirements.

Ramset is an Australian brand with a long history in the construction and fastening industry. Now part of the ITW (Illinois Tool Works) group, Ramset continues to develop and supply fastening solutions specifically engineered for Australian building standards and conditions, and their products are widely available through hardware and trade retailers across the country.
