Frequently Asked Questions

What paint preparation products do you sell?

We stock abrasives (sanding sheets and sanding blocks), masking and painter's tapes, cloth and duct tapes, double-sided and mounting tapes, plastic drop sheets, and paint chemicals and solvents. Brands include Norton, Scotch, ScotchBlue, BEAR, Stylus, 3M, UNI-PRO, MACSIM, and Nachi.

What grit sandpaper should I use for painting preparation?

For initial surface preparation and paint removal, use a coarser grit such as P80. For smoothing between coats or preparing a previously painted surface, P120 or P240 is suitable. For fine finishing and wet sanding, use P400–P800. We stock Norton sanding sheets in P80, P120, P240, P600, and P800 in both dry and wet & dry formats.

What is the difference between masking tape and painter's tape?

Standard masking tape is suitable for general purpose use and short-term masking. Painter's tape, such as ScotchBlue Original or Hystik 835 14-day outdoor blue tape, is designed specifically for painting — it provides sharper paint lines, is easier to remove cleanly, and is less likely to damage surfaces or leave adhesive residue.

Do you sell drop sheets for painting?

Yes. We stock UNI-PRO plastic protection drop sheets in 2.6×3.6m size, available in standard and heavy-duty options. These are ideal for protecting floors, furniture, and fittings during interior painting and renovation projects.

Do you sell outdoor painter's tape?

Yes. We stock Hystik 835 14-day outdoor blue masking tape (36mm×55m), which is designed for exterior painting applications and can be left in place for up to 14 days without leaving adhesive residue. ScotchBlue original painter's tape is also suitable for many outdoor applications.

Expect good results from this silver cleaner

Old tried and true polish that my grandmother used to clean her silver. I have tried other brands and I have found Goddard to be the best.

Scissors you will use for multiple tasks

These small scissors are so handy they should be in everyone’s utensil drawer. They are great for unpicking stitches, trimming off dead leaves and buds on plants and doing absolutely any job that requires a small blade. I love them I had a pair that I lost and now I have replaced them.
