What is the difference between a P2 and N95 respirator mask?

P2 is the Australian/New Zealand standard (AS/NZS 1716) and N95 is the US standard (NIOSH). Both filter at least 94–95% of airborne particles respectively and offer equivalent protection levels. The 3M 8511 mask is rated both P2 and N95, making it suitable for sanding, fibreglass, and fine dust applications under Australian workplace safety requirements.

What hearing protection do you sell and what dB rating do I need?

We stock earmuffs and earplugs rated from 19dB to 32dB. As a general guide: Class 3 (19–23dB) suits moderate noise environments; Class 4 (24–26dB) suits loud environments; Class 5 (27dB+) suits very loud environments such as power tools and heavy machinery. We stock 3M, SafeCorp, Tolsen, Medalist, and Maxisafe hearing protection across Class 3 to Class 5.

What type of gloves should I use for chemical handling?

For chemical handling, use dedicated chemical-resistant gloves rather than standard work gloves. We stock Rhino Chemical Gloves in 27cm (P44) and 45cm (P45) lengths, providing protection against a range of chemicals, solvents, and cleaning agents. For general liquid resistance, Medalist liquid-resistant gloves (270mm) are also available.

Do your hard hats meet Australian safety standards?

Yes. Tuffgard hard hats are designed for construction and industrial site use and are selected for compliance with Australian safety standards. This is an excellent heater. It’s practical, lightweight, easy to use and gives instant warmth as well as being affordable. The level of heat can be adjusted to one, two or all three bars.
