As long as the technology developed, a LED light bulb can only use 8 watt power but light up similar brightness when a incandescent light bulb uses 60 watt power. There is equivalent wattage between different light bulbs. To stop making confuse, you need to know what wattage equivalent to each other. See the table attached as below.
- The R7s is a classic "linear" light bulb characterized by its long, thin shape and recessed contact points at both ends.
- They are most commonly found in high-powered lighting like outdoor floodlights, work lamps, and interior floor-standing "uplighter" lamps.
- The most common length are 78mm, 118mm and 189mm. Ensure you replace with same length.
- Never touch a halogen bulb with your bare hands.The oils from your skin create a "hotspot" on the quartz glass, which causes the bulb to shatter or burn out prematurely.
- Halogens operate at extreme temperatures (often over 250°C). Ensure the fixture's glass cover is intact and that no flammable materials (like curtains) are nearby.
- Halogens are naturally dimmable. If you switch to LED, you must ensure the bulb is specifically labeled as "Dimmable," or it will flicker or buzz.
