Pro-Tips for Handling:
- Don't Touch the Glass: Never touch the bulb with your bare hands. The oils from your skin can create "hot spots" on the quartz glass, causing the bulb to shatter or burn out prematurely when it heats up. Use a clean cloth or the foam wrapper it came in.
- Heat Dissipation: These bulbs get extremely hot. Ensure your fixture is rated for the wattage you are buying. Using a 250W JDD bulb in a 150W-rated studio flash can melt the internal components.
- Dimmability: Almost all JDD halogen bulbs are fully dimmable, which is why they are popular for modeling lights in photography.
