MACSIM's Type 17 galvanised screws are engineered for fast, reliable fastening into metal without pre-drilling. The unique Type 17 point features a self-drilling tip that cuts through sheet metal up to 0.9mm thick, eliminating the need for pilot holes and dramatically reducing installation time. The galvanised coating provides effective corrosion resistance for interior and light-duty exterior applications.
Each 12G-11 x 35mm screw features a hex head with washer face that provides excellent torque transfer and a weather-tight seal when driven. The 5/16" hex socket drive accepts standard hex drivers and impact tools for efficient installation, while the partial thread design ensures proper clamping force. Ideal for metal roofing, cladding, HVAC ductwork, steel framing, and general metal-to-metal or metal-to-timber fastening applications.
