Colour Temperature

Colour temperature is measured in Kelvin (K) – the lower the number, the warmer the white light appears, while a higher Kelvin will appear cooler. Colour temperature generally ranges from 2700-3300K (warm) to 3300-5300 (cool) – and 6500K is daylight.

Equivalent Wattages Between Different Light Bulbs

As long as the technology developed, a LED light bulb can only use 8 watt power but light up similar brightness when a incandescent light bulb uses 60 watt power. There is equivalent wattage between different light bulbs. To stop making confuse, you need to know what wattage equivalent to each other. See the table attached as below.

The Mirabella double-ended tubular strip bulb has an opal glass envelope and metal caps at both ends. Its slim linear profile offers a traditional incandescent replacement option for compatible picture lights, display lighting and other fittings designed to accept this style of strip lamp.

Existing specifications list S15 caps, 240V, 60W, 2700K warm white light, a 25mm diameter and a 284mm overall length. The listed rated average life is 1,000 hours. Match the original lamp's cap arrangement, overall dimensions and electrical rating, and check that the fitting permits a 60W incandescent lamp before installation. Dimming compatibility has not been confirmed for this exact product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Mirabella 60W tubular strip bulb dimmable?

Dimming compatibility has not been confirmed for this exact Mirabella bulb. Do not assume compatibility with every dimmer from its incandescent construction alone. Confirm the lamp and fitting requirements before using dimming controls, including the permitted lamp type and connected load. This bulb has a listed 60W rating.

Will this 284mm S15 bulb fit my existing strip-light fitting?

Check that the fitting requires a double-ended S15 lamp with the listed 284mm overall length, 25mm diameter and 240V rating. The fitting must permit a 60W incandescent lamp; do not use it in a fitting with a lower maximum wattage. Match the original cap and holder arrangement as well as the dimensions, because similar-looking linear lamps are not automatically interchangeable. Switch off power and allow the lamp to cool before handling.

Is this Mirabella opal strip bulb an LED or fluorescent tube?

No. The existing product record identifies it as a 60W incandescent tubular strip bulb. It has an opal glass envelope and metal caps at both ends, rather than a conventional screw or bayonet cap. Existing specifications list 2700K warm white light and a 1,000-hour rated average life. Rated life is not a guarantee for every bulb, and a lumen output has not been confirmed for this listing.
