Colour Temperature

Colour temperature is measured in Kelvin (K) – the lower the number, the warmer the white light appears, while a higher Kelvin will appear cooler. Colour temperature generally ranges from 2700-3300K (warm) to 3300-5300 (cool) – and 6500K is daylight.

Equivalent Wattages Between Different Light Bulbs

As long as the technology developed, a LED light bulb can only use 8 watt power but light up similar brightness when a incandescent light bulb uses 60 watt power. There is equivalent wattage between different light bulbs. To stop making confuse, you need to know what wattage equivalent to each other. See the table attached as below.

This Lusion blue GLS incandescent light bulb adds coloured decorative lighting to compatible B22 bayonet fittings. Its blue finish comes from an internally applied coloured coating and suits compatible indoor festoon lighting.

This 240V, 25W blue B22 bulb is dimmable and internally fused, with a 60mm diameter, 105mm overall length and a 1,000-hour rated average life. It has an IP20 rating and is for indoor use or protected areas; this is not a weatherproof lamp for exposed installations. Match the fitting's voltage, maximum incandescent wattage, clearance and control requirements. For dimming, check the control's incandescent-lamp rating and minimum and maximum total connected load, counting every connected 25W bulb. Switch off power and let the lamp cool before replacement. This is a blue decorative lamp, not a warm white general-lighting bulb.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Lusion 25W blue bulb dimmable?

Yes. Use a control rated for incandescent lamps and check its minimum and maximum total connected load, counting every connected 25W bulb. A single bulb may fall below some dimmers' minimum load. Follow the control manufacturer's installation and derating requirements.

Can this blue B22 bulb be used in outdoor festoon lights?

This IP20 bulb is for indoor use or protected areas, not exposed rain. Any protected exterior installation must be approved by the fitting manufacturer and provide suitable protection and heat clearance. Match the B22 base, 240V supply, 25W load and 60 x 105mm dimensions to the fitting. Switch off power and let the lamp cool before replacement.

Does this bulb produce warm white light or blue decorative light?

It produces blue decorative light through an internally applied coloured coating. It is a traditional incandescent bulb, not a warm white lamp or an LED replacement. It suits compatible indoor festoon and decorative fittings where blue light is wanted.
