The G23 is a classic "plug-and-play" compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulb, most commonly found in desk lamps, range hoods, and bathroom fixtures.
The Base: It features a 2-pin connection. The "23" actually refers to the width of the plastic base, which is 23mm.
The Pins: The two pins are spaced exactly 10mm apart.
Shape: They almost always consist of a single U-shaped glass tube.
The "Brain": G23 bulbs have a built-in starter inside the plastic base. This means they are designed to work with magnetic ballasts. If you try to dim them, they’ll usually just flicker or burn out—they are strictly non-dimmable.
