The GY10q-3 is a specific type of 4-pin base used for FPL (Flat Parallel Lamp) compact fluorescent bulbs.
While it looks similar to the 2G11 base at first glance, they are not interchangeable.
The 4-pins are arranged in a square cluster (also called a "quad" base).
The GY10q-3 base has specific notches (mechanical keys) on the plastic base. The "-3" tells you exactly where those notches are located. You cannot fit a GY10q-1 or GY10q-2 bulb into a GY10q-3 socket.
