When dimming, check the control's incandescent-lamp rating and minimum and maximum total connected load. For bathroom use, the complete fitting must be approved for its installation location. Switch off power and allow the lamp to cool before replacement, then ensure it is fully engaged in both holders. Have a qualified electrician assess damaged or corroded lampholders.
