The Osram Halostar Starlite is a 20W halogen capsule with a GY6.35 bi-pin fitting, a clear envelope and a visible axial filament. It features UV filtering and supports dimming with compatible control equipment. The dark-blue packaging version has a rated lamp life of 4,000 hours. The packaging version with a printed 300lm rating provides 2800K warm white light, CRI 100 and a rated lamp life of 2,000 hours.
Use a lamp holder and fitting specified for GY6.35 12V 20W halogen lamps and match the selected version to the fitting's replacement requirements. Check ventilation, clearance and required protective covers. For dimming, use a compatible transformer or power supply and dimmer within each component's minimum and maximum load ratings, counting 20W per lamp. Switch off the electricity supply and allow complete cooling before replacement. Keep the lamp dry and handle it with a clean cloth rather than bare fingers.
