Colour Temperature

Colour temperature is measured in Kelvin (K) – the lower the number, the warmer the white light appears, while a higher Kelvin will appear cooler. Colour temperature generally ranges from 2700-3300K (warm) to 3300-5300 (cool) – and 6500K is daylight.

Equivalent Wattages Between Different Light Bulbs

As long as the technology developed, a LED light bulb can only use 8 watt power but light up similar brightness when a incandescent light bulb uses 60 watt power. There is equivalent wattage between different light bulbs. To stop making confuse, you need to know what wattage equivalent to each other. See the table attached as below.

Very Narrow Spot

Concentrated oval beam with 7° horizontal and 10° vertical spread.

12V 240W PAR56

G53 screw terminal lamp producing 6,000 lumens of 2800K warm white light.

⚠️ Important: This is a 12V low voltage bulb and requires a compatible 12V transformer or power supply. It will not work with standard 240V mains voltage.

This GE PAR56 very narrow spot lamp produces a concentrated oval beam with a 7° horizontal spread and 10° vertical spread. It delivers 6,000 lumens of 2800K warm white light from a 240W filament.

The lamp uses G53 screw terminals and measures 177.8mm in diameter by 114.3mm in length. Install it in a matching 240W-rated fitting with a heat-resistant connector, rim support and an external protective screen. Protect the lamp from moisture and keep the beam away from combustible and heat-sensitive materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

What power supply does this lamp require?

Use a compatible 12V transformer or power supply rated for this 240W lamp and the total connected load. Follow the fitting manufacturer's electrical requirements and the supply's minimum and maximum load ratings. Do not connect the lamp directly to 240V mains.

Can this lamp be exposed directly to water or weather?

No. The lamp must be protected from moisture. Use a matching 240W-rated fitting with a heat-resistant connector, support the lamp by its rim, and fit an external protective screen. Follow the fitting's ventilation and clearance requirements and keep the beam away from combustible and heat-sensitive materials.

What is the difference between VNSP and a wide flood lamp?

VNSP means Very Narrow Spot. This lamp concentrates its light into an oval beam with a 7° horizontal spread and 10° vertical spread rather than broad flood coverage. The widest beam axis runs parallel to the GE mark on the lamp face.
